Hmm, I spend leisure time with my parents in a variety of ways. For example, we could spend time watching a soccer match on television on saturdays, this way my father can explain to us how soccer matches are usually played and why fouls are given, as my mother and sister do not really understand how the offside rule works and why the players are awarded yellow cards, this enables us to bond with each other. My family also goes out for hikes at Bukit Timah Hill albeit rarely. The hikes allows us to realise how important it is to stay together as a family as we realise how much we depend on each other's help to be able to reach the top. Another way that we spend our time together is that we go out for dinner together. We talk alot over these few sessions. Learning about what happened in each others lives. This is how i mostly spend my leisure time with my parents

My teacher has recently showed us 2 movies about the war in the the Pacific and I have decided to do a comparison between the 2 of them. The first movie was called Tora Tora Tora. It shows us how the relationship between America and Japan soured. Pearl Harbour, however, showed us a completely different picture. Being a typical Hollywood movie, it features a relationship which has completely nothing to do with the war in Pacific war...
I felt the Tora Tora Tora was much more educational as compared to Pearl Harbour. It showed us how the Japan betrayed the Americans, also showed us how the Americans were a tad too complacent. Seriously felt that they could have been more prepared for this. Judging from all the warning signs coming from all around the globe. I guess this is price you pay for deciding to stay out of worldly matters. Pearl Harbour as one would expect, is a Hollywood classic. The girl is in the middle of a relationship. The 2 pilots who are fighting for her also starred in Tora Tora Tora, except they didn't have a girl in between them.
If u would like to watch either one of these shows, let me recommend to you Tora Tora Tora. Do Not let your opinion of the war in the Pacific be decided by watching Pearl Harbour first. Hollywood's version is centres around the love triangle more than the War itself. Therefore, make the beneficial choice of choosing Tora Tora Tora. ^.^

Woo, Posting my homework on the net!?! Where can you find such hardworking students? Haha. Do take a look and leave comments if ur free

Dear Mrs Sim,
How have you been doing since u left the school? I hope that you have been well. I’m writing this letter as part of my homework. Also, I wish to tell you about the changes I have experienced since school re-opened.
I feel that the change from Secondary three to Secondary four didn’t have that big an impact on me as I thought it would have, perhaps, I just haven’t realized that my workload has increases, maybe because I might not have been doing my work consistently. Then again, my time management might just have gotten better. The workload does indeed get larger and after some time, it just snowballs if I don’t do anything about it.
My attitude towards school has also change quite a fair bit, I used to think that going to school was a chore and I didn’t want to wake up early in the morning to go to school. Nowadays, jump out of bed with the first alarm, even when I’m very tired. I still drag myself out of bed. I just tell myself that this is my final year, if I manage to complete this year with flying colours, life ahead of me will be more or less smooth-flowing, because with good results, I can easily take up the course I wish to take. Of course, learning new things at school has also become and attraction. Especially during history, we just finished doing the history of World War II. We learnt how Hitler started his campaign to create a German Empire. I felt that the book “The Diary of Anne Frank” was extremely helpful as it gave me an insight to how Jews were treated during the war. It also told me how ruthless Hitler could be.
The school also planned a trip to the Ngee Ann Polytechnic open house to let us know more about the courses which are available to us when we graduate from school after our ‘O’ levels. I felt that the trip was very helpful as I didn’t know about the courses in polytechnic. I wasn’t even aware that polytechnics would also have a wide range of CCAs for us to choose from. I found out a lot more about the polytechnic, such as the courses offered, the amount of points needed to enter the course.
Our school also had our CIP recently, the CIP was extremely enlightening. We were supposed to clean up the old folks’ houses, but most of the houses were already clean. The person my team was supposed to help out was deaf and mute. He communicated with us using hand signals. We learn that he was actually from the army. He was a middle-ranking officer. He got his disabilities towards the end of the war when a grenade exploded near him. He also recounted the happy times when he was together with his wife. He had 1 child who has since left the country. He even showed us the pictures of his late. I think his wife broke both legs later in her life, thus losing her ability to walk. Such were the tragedies that happened to the man. The man also showed me his CPF account. I could tell at a glance that he wasn’t very rich. It made me realize how lucky I was to be perfectly fine and have a happy family. It really struck me that day, that I should really be appreciative of my parents. Of what I should have and I should not take things for granted.
Okay, my letter ends here. I hope that you are faring well and I wish for you to come back to the school to visit us or you could give me your address and I could pay you a visit, since we live so near each other. :D

Yours, Sincerely
ShI hAo

My first day in school
Remembering the first day of school brings back fond memories. I was extremely nervous about attending secondary school, as I did not know anybody in school. It was slightly intimidating when I first saw the size of the school. I was extremely nervous as I didn’t know where to go. I followed some of my senior school-mates up to the third floor, where I first saw the hall. I decided to walk in, inside the hall, I saws some of my primary schoolmates and walked towards them, they were chatting about the things they did during the holidays. I decided to join in and we chatted for awhile before breaking up to look for our classes. To my pleasant surprise, I saw Wenhao sitting behind the ‘1e4’ cone, I went and sat next to him, we continued chatting until it was time to stop. Someone named Mr Koh introduced himself to us. My first impression of him was that he wasn’t a person that could be pushed around easily. He had a short fuse. When some older students didn’t listen to his “simple” demands, he would shout at them to make sure they did it properly. I thought he was one of those perfectionists.
The assembly started and Ms Chamb got started on her long speech. I thought that the speech would never end. I nearly died of stiffness from sitting still for so long. Thankfully, the speech ended. We were herded back to our classes. A teacher named Ms Heng walked in and introduced herself to us, she told us to expect big changes when we were in secondary school, she warned us that secondary school would not be as easy as in primary school where we could play around and still pass. Ms Heng told to adapt quickly or we wouldn’t be able to cope with the workload.
I was sitting next to a girl named Hui Mian, she was a powerful speaker, I thought that I would be in for a ride of my life if I had to sit next to her for the rest of the year. Seated behind was a boy named Shao Wen and a girl named Cassandra, Shao Wen was an extremely gullible person, he actually believed my name was Kelvin, I hope he isn’t that gullible now. Cassandra was a quiet girl who kept to herself most of the time.
When the bell for recess rang, we went up to the canteen with the councilors leading us up. After recess, we were brought to the hall for the mass dance. I felt stupid dancing, but the councilors kept encouraging. At the end of everything, we were hot and sweaty, but best of all, I think most of us had fun. After that, we went back to class and got ready to leave.
I said my good-byes to a few of my new friends and , left looking forward to the next day of school
